Explicit Consent Text (Special-Category Health Data)
This text is separate and independent from the Privacy Policy & Information Notice (Turkish DPA Board Principle Decision No. 2026/347). Your consent covers only the special-category health data expressly listed below.
1. What Does This Consent Cover?
Under KVKK Article 6, health data is special-category personal data and may be processed only with your explicit consent. Your freely given consent is required to process the following:
- Your current weight and body measurements, and your target weight — to calculate your daily calorie/macro target and to track and show your progress (changes in weight/measurements). Required to use the calorie tracking feature.
- Pregnancy / breastfeeding status (if you declare it) — to adapt calorie/nutrition suggestions to this status for informational purposes. Optional — the app works even if you do not provide it.
- Diabetes status (if you declare it) — to adapt content and suggestions to this status for informational purposes. Optional — the app works even if you do not provide it.
CaloriPanda is a healthy-living assistant; it is not a medical device, a diagnosis/treatment tool, or a diet prescription. The information provided is for informational purposes and does not constitute medical advice.
2. Your Consent Is Free — It Is Not Tied to the Service
- You are not required to declare pregnancy/breastfeeding or diabetes. The Application's core calorie tracking works fully even if you do not provide this information.
- Giving consent for this health data is not a precondition for using any other feature, and there is no pressure on you to consent.
3. You Can Withdraw Your Consent at Any Time
You may withdraw the explicit consent you have given at any time, without giving a reason and free of charge: from the relevant setting in the app, via the "Delete account" option, or by writing to kvkk@caloripanda.com. Withdrawal takes effect going forward. When you withdraw your consent or delete your account, the relevant health data is deleted or anonymized within 30 days at the latest.
4. AI Analysis of Meal Photos (Separate Consent)
- Photo analysis is performed through an AI-based image analysis provider whose servers are located abroad (USA); the processing therefore involves a transfer abroad.
- Your meal photo is processed only at the moment of recognition; it is not permanently stored in CaloriPanda's own systems.
- Even if you do not give this consent, you can continue tracking by entering your meals manually.
5. The Approvals Presented to You in the App
The following statements are presented to you in the app — separately from the information notice — as separate, unchecked (opt-in) boxes; ticking them is entirely your choice. The "I have read the information notice" statement is kept separate from the consent statements.
- ☐ I give my explicit consent to the processing of my current weight, body measurements and target weight in order to calculate my daily calorie/macro target and track my progress.
- ☐ (Optional) I give my explicit consent to the processing of my pregnancy/breastfeeding status declaration in order to adapt my suggestions.
- ☐ (Optional) I give my explicit consent to the processing of my diabetes status declaration in order to adapt my suggestions.
- ☐ (Optional) I give my explicit consent to my meal photos being analyzed for calorie/portion estimation through an AI analysis provider located abroad (USA), knowing that the photo will not be permanently stored.
