Account & Data Deletion
You can permanently delete your CaloriPanda account and every piece of personal data linked to it. There are two ways: delete it instantly from inside the app, or — if you no longer have access to the app — request deletion by email. Both are free of charge.
1. Delete from the app (instant)
- Open CaloriPanda and go to the Profile tab in the bottom menu.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
- Confirm on both confirmation dialogs.
Your account and your data are deleted at that moment, and the app returns you to the sign-in screen. This cannot be undone. If you sign up again with the same email address, you get a completely empty new account — your previous records do not come back.
2. If you can't access the app (request by email)
If you have uninstalled the app or cannot sign in, send an email titled “Account deletion request” to kvkk@caloripanda.com from the email address of the account.
- Sending the request from the account's own address serves as identity verification. For requests sent from a different address we may ask for additional verification, so that nobody can have someone else's account deleted.
- We complete your request within 30 days at the latest and inform you of the outcome (Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698, Art. 13).
- We do not charge a fee for deletion.
3. What gets deleted

4. What is retained
- Your food photos are not stored in the first place. A photo is processed only during recognition; only the result (food name and nutrition values) is saved. Because the image is never kept on our servers, there is no copy left to delete.
- Where the law requires us to keep limited records (for example transaction and payment records), those are kept for the statutory period solely for that obligation and used for nothing else.
- Aggregated, anonymous statistics that cannot be linked to you (for example daily total usage counts) are outside the scope of deletion; they do not identify you.
